REST API

Tokify ships a token-authenticated REST API so users (or your integrations) can generate videos and read the library programmatically. The exact, always-current endpoint list and your token live in Admin → API.

Authentication

Send your API token as a bearer header on every request:

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN
Content-Type: application/json

Tokens are issued and revoked from the API section of the panel. Treat a token like a password — it acts on behalf of its owner and spends their minutes.

Typical flow

1. Start a generation — POST the tool and its parameters; you get back a job_id.
2. Poll the job — GET the job status until it is done (or failed); the response carries the progress %.
3. Fetch the result — read the produced asset from the library and download it.

Responses & errors

• All responses are JSON.
• Errors use standard HTTP status codes with an error message; for example 402 when the user is out of minutes (with a machine-readable code), 401 for a bad token, 409/422 for invalid input.
• Rendering is asynchronous — always poll the job rather than expecting the video in the first response.
